Food for Thought
PepsiCo recently launched a platform called Food for Thought to open access to stakeholders beyond the usual public and private players to democratize conversation and drive meaningful change around food sustainability. Through partnerships and innovations, the industry must cater to consumer demands and needs within the sustainability model. Well-informed and collaborative partnerships are critical to paving the way forward. As the industry moves toward embracing food sustainability, multi-stakeholder partnerships play a role in driving impactful results — be it with internal audiences, consumers, industry players, or local governments.
Food for Thought is the Communication Platform of PepsiCoPositive (pep+) aiming to raise awareness about key sustainability issues within sustainable food systems ranging from Agriculture to Waste and across the entire food value chain, using a variety of engagements including thought leadership sessions co-hosted with our partners and an upcoming podcast series.
Based on the founding principles of Authenticity, Inclusivity and Mindfulness, Food for Thought invites various actors from farmers to scientists, entrepreneurs to researchers, nonprofit to corporates to actively take part in the conversation allowing us to immerse in an evolving discussion and a memorable journey across the MENA region. To maximize the impact, PepsiCo invites its partner stakeholders to co-host these conversations & amplify the message.
For instance, in partnership with World Government Summit in Al Shindagha museum on 29th March 2022, we launched a thought leadership platform around sustainable food system. The platform brought together stakeholders in an authentic, mindful, and environmentally conscious dinner experience. This platform was first of a series of gatherings that will be hosted over dinner to share, inspire, and exchange topics around sustainable food.
The journey continues, as we signed an MOU with Prince Sultan University and launched PepsiCo’s Food for Thought on the 1st September 2022 in the aim to unlock youth potential in the mission towards Zero waste and Sustainable Development Goals.
